On tour
again: The Mingus Epitaph Orchestra
Once again Joe Locke has been asked to revive his role in the Mingus Epitaph Orchestra. Dates continue to be added to the Orchestra's 2007 tour, which kicks off at Lincoln Center on April 25 - three days after Mingus would have celebrated his 85th birthday. The 31 piece band will be going on tour for the first time in 15 years, with new material not originally included when Epitaph premiered.
