Joe Locke is thrilled to receive his sixth ‘Mallets Instrumentalist of the Year’ award by the Jazz Journalists Association (JJA). In a category of high calibre peers – with Warren Wolf and Stefon Harris – Joe is particularly proud to make the top position again and thanks the JJA members for voting.

Professional Journalist members of the JJA made open nominations in a first selection round. Those who received the most nominations advanced to the final ballot. The winners will receive their awards during performances or other public events this summer.
